New Zealand Car Jumping 2011

Although some thing this is a bad idea, I think it’s a form of training.  Ski racing is all about pushing yourself as hard as you can and let’s just say hammering toward a kicker in a car forces you to fully commit.  It’s like committing to arc a GS turn on bumpy nasty World Cup conditions.  It’s about embracing intensity and fear.

Here are some old videos:

This was last summer in Juvass, Norway

First video, and only, of Team Maximum Velocity (that was the team Roger Brown and I were on in 2007-2008 as it turned out our velocity was not all that maximum).

This was the launch of the mighty 86er, the greatest motor yacht ever built.  A number of friends and I built it basically for the 4th of July in 2010.  She’s fabulous.  This was was launch for her second season on Lake Winnipesaukee after giving her a number of epic upgrades.  Most importantly, a new center pontoon to fit a number of extra people on her.  Video taken by Hank McKee of Ski Racing Magazine.
